Renowned filmmaker Rian Johnson, known for his work on blockbusters like Knives Out and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, shared his experience with Weekend Read: “With Weekend Read, John August and his crafty elves have transformed the tedious task of reading scripts on a mobile device into a pleasurable experience. Reading a script in Weekend Read on my 4-inch iPhone screen is more enjoyable for me than viewing a PDF in proper screenplay format on my iPad. Some key features include the ability to select from an updated range of fonts and text sizes, highlight lines with Character Highlighting, utilize Read Aloud to have scripts read at up to 2x speed, add page-specific notes while reading, utilize Dark Mode for night-time reading, efficiently navigate lengthy scripts with Page Jumper, curate your personal script library, discover new scripts from curated categories of screenplays and books, and optimize reading for all iOS devices.
